Eleven students from participated in the online CCLP MINI-INDABA conducted by WLSA on 11th February. The main question addressed during the session was, ‘Are you a citizen of the world or are you a citizen of the nation?’ Throughout the session the participants engaged in interactive discussions with students from across the globe, including countries like the USA, Japan, South Africa and UAE. Students were put in breakout rooms where they discussed about international justice, with a particular focus on the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the Genocide Convention in relation to Israel's actions in Gaza, initiated following an application to the court from South Africa. The discussion also focused on the probability of establishing a common international law for all nations and the barriers associated with forming such a code of conduct.
