The Tennis season this year has been one of diligence and hard work on the part of the Tennis Team. Tennis


We participated in the Uttarakhand Tennis State Championship held at the Shanti Tennis Academy in February as well as October, 2010. In February, Ashna Aggarwal was declared the Runner's Up in the U-14 category and was the winner in the same category in October. Girisha Arora and Sanjana Singh reached the semi-final level. In the Open category Avni Jain was declared Runners' Up while Saneeya Singh reached the semi-finals. The entire team reached the Quarter-finals.

We also participated in the IPSC Tennis Tournament held at YPS, Patiala in the U-14, U-17 and U-19 categories. The U-14 team reached the semi-finals and the U-19 team reached the Quarter-finals. Ashna Aggarwal stood Runners' Up in the U-14 individual category and also represented the IPSC team in Nationals at Pune. The U-19 team reached the Quarter-finals while Saneeya Singh was the Quarter-finalist in the U-19 Individuals category.

All in all it has been an eventful year for Tennis in school and I hope we can keep up the level and passion for Tennis alive in future years to come.
