Entrance Examination Every girl registered for admission into Classes V to VII will be expected to appear for an Entrance Examination at the specified center closest to the individual girl's place of residence. The examination is held in early November of the year preceding that in which admission is sought. Particulars of these examinations will be sent by the School to Parents well in advance. Registration for classes V to VII will close on 31st July of the year preceding that in which admission is being sought, while registration for Class XI will close on 31st December of the year preceding the year of admission. Any registration made after that day is only accepted on payment of late fee. In Class XI, our admission is on the basis of Board Examination results and an Entrance Examination to be held in the 1st week of June and subsequent qualification on the Merit List. Places are offered in all three streams: Arts, Commerce, and Science. The number of students in each of these streams is fixed at a certain optimum decided by the Admissions Committee from year to year. Vacancies in each stream are offered to new applicants according to their position on the Merit List. Once the optimum number in a stream is reached, the option of studying in that stream is closed. However, the first 10-12 applicants do normally get the stream of their choice. Offers for admission will be given on the basis of the results of these examinations and will depend on the number of vacancies in each class. Some preference will be given to daughters of transferable government officials and serving Armed Forces personnel. A substantial preference will be given to the girls whose mothers have studied in this school for a minimum of four years or who have passed out of school at the end of Class XII. Preference will be given to those whose real sisters have studied or are presently studying in this school. Any requests for other preferential treatment will not be entertained. The student is also required to pass a medical fitness test. Re-Registration for Class V to VII All registrations are done for the year and for the class requested for by the parent. If a parent wishes to re-register, a nominal fee will be charged and a fresh registration number issued to the child. However, re-registration of a child who has either not cleared the Entrance Examination or whose registration has lapsed for any other reason, must be done within a year of the lapse – failing which full registration fees will have to be paid again. Withdrawals Parents are required to give as long a notice as possible of intended withdrawal, with a minimum of 3 months, failing which 3 months' fees will be charged in lieu of notice.
