Snacks and tea (in the winter season) and squash (in the summer season) are given in the evening. The day ends with a dinner which ranges from Indian to Continental. The school takes pride in serving North Indian, Continental, Chinese and South Indian dishes in school, with many baked items as well as Indian sweets embellishing the menus. Meals cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners. The mess can honestly be considered the heart of the school as every Welhamite's life revolves around it and ex-Welhamites come to eat their "senti" kadhi chawal, cutlets, French fries, etc. Student representatives from each of the Houses form part of the Mess Committee which is headed by the School Mess In-charge and includes the teachers of the Department of Home Science. The attempt is to provide simple, tasty and wholesome meals which are welcomed by the students. |
