On February 21, 2025, our school joined the global celebration of World Poetry Day, honouring the profound impact of poetry in inspiring, uniting, and healing communities. As part of the celebration, the English Department and the School Library organized an Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition, centering around the theme "Peace and Inclusion." Talented students from various Houses took the stage, bringing to life some of the most thought-provoking and impactful poems: Tara Klaire (Bulbul House) – Our Martyred Soldiers by Paul Laurence Dunbar, Maisa Kalra (Flycatcher House) – Blowin’ in the Wind by Bob Dylan, Miraya Puri (Hoopoe House) – No Men Are Foreign by James Kirkup, Devyani Singh (Oriole House) – The House by the Side of the Road by Sam Walter Foss, Amber Brar (Woodpecker House) – Human Family by Maya Angelou. The event concluded on a note of deep appreciation for the power of words and their ability to shape perspectives.
