In its pursuit of providing education beyond the classroom, WGS conducted an IAYP (International Award for Young People) training program for students of class 10 and class 11 who are currently pursuing their Silver and Gold awards. Students were educated on how to handle emergencies while outdoors, pitch tents, collect and store of water during camping, safety measures to be taken from various elements present in the wild, first aid and CPR, how to take care of fractures, open and closed wounds, stings, bites and poisoning, and other dos and don’ts of camp life. In addition, students also learnt soft skills like leadership and team building, conflict resolution in a team, self-awareness and team talk, negotiation skills and qualities of great leaders.
