The Investiture Ceremony of the new Captain body for 2022-23 was a moment of celebration as the old captains handed over their blazers to the new ones. In keeping with the decades-old tradition, the passing-out batch lit the candles of the new SCs as the Shanti Varma auditorium echoed with the music of the hymn 'Go Light Your World'. Lt Gen Surendra Kulkarni PVSM (Retd.), Director, Mayo College, kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest. He addressed the old and new Captains, as well as the passing out Class of '22 and said that passion and perseverance are key to being successful. He also said that women are equal to men in any field and the young women should continue to believe in themselves, be resilient and strong. Mrs Padmini Sambasivam, Principal, also congratulated the new Captain body and the passing out batch and shared the qualities of a good leader with them. She said that a leader must learn to be strong but not impolite, learn to be kind but not weak, learn to be bold but not a bully, learn to be humble but not timid, learn to be proud but not arrogant and learn to develop humour without folly.
