Day one began bright and early with our Annual Sports Meet. We were honored to host Sonya Philip, Founder and CEO of Learning Matters and a proud alumna from the Class of 1975, as our distinguished Chief Guest. The school grounds absolutely buzzed with an infectious energy as our students showcased their remarkable talent across track events, athletics, and a fantastic aerobics display. And in true Welham spirit, our alumnae couldn't resist joining in the action, proving that you can indeed take a woman out of Welham, but you can never take the Welham out of her!
It was particularly moving to witness alumnae from the Golden Jubilee Batch of 1975 and the Silver Jubilee Batch of 2000 reconnecting after decades. Their laughter and shared stories filled the familiar halls once more. And of course, no Welham reunion would be complete without plates of kadhi chawal and those irresistible lemon tarts, signature favorites that brought a delicious flood of nostalgia with every single bite.
Our alumnae also visited "Echoes of Eternity," our school's museum. This poignant space is dedicated to chronicling Welham's rich history and paying heartfelt tribute to our visionary founding principal, Miss Grace Mary Linnell.
As evening descended, our school auditorium was transformed for a brilliant performance of "Arsenic and Old Lace." Our talented young performers truly shone in the English play, delivering an exemplary display of their theatrical skills. The day culminated with the much-anticipated Principal's Dinner, an evening where ex-students and former staff gathered for warmth, laughter, and shared recollections.
October 16th was reflection of the enduring legacy and timeless spirit that continues to make Welham a cherished second home for every girl who has walked its hallowed Bajri path.
