Welham Girls' School celebrated its 69th Birthday alongside the Investiture Ceremony, welcoming the newly elected Captain Body and student leaders.
We were honoured to have Dr. Pratibha Jolly, former Principal of Miranda House and Member of the Board of Governors, as our Chief Guest.
In her address, Ms. Vibha Kapoor, Principal, Welham Girls' School, shared that the new Captain Body has been chosen because they have consistently demonstrated leadership through their actions, thoughts, and conduct over the years. She also reminded students that leadership may not always be easy, but the rewards can be truly phenomenal.
A special highlight was the lighting of the candle by the outgoing Class XII, symbolically passing on responsibility and leadership to the incoming Class XI team.
In her speech, Dr. Jolly remarked that Welham provides every girl a strong platform-one that can serve as a launchpad to help her aim higher and build a successful future. She congratulated the Captain Body and extended her best wishes to the school.
From voting and celebrations to cake-cutting, cheers, and heartfelt farewells, the day reflected Welham's spirit of tradition, unity, and growth.
