The day opened with a soulful instrumental performance by our students, setting an inspiring tone for what followed. The campus came alive with the Founders’ Day exhibitions, featuring projects spanning science, art, history, economics, and culture. Among the highlights was a special showcase chronicling the journey of #Welhamites who trekked to the Everest Base Camp, embodying courage and resilience.
The theme Neti Neti – Neither Defined, Nor Undefined invited students and visitors alike to explore the power of boundless inquiry. Through experiments, installations, and models, students reflected on the interconnectedness of disciplines and the value of curiosity in understanding a complex world.
The Founders’ Day Awards Ceremony, graced by Ambassador Gaitri Issar Kumar, former High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, honoured students who excelled across academics, sports, administration, and the arts. Among the awards presented were the Miss Linnell Memorial Gold Medal for Best Future Citizen, the Khandelwal Shield for Highest Aggregate in the ISC (XII) Examination, the Presidents’ Cup for Outstanding Youth Leadership and Nina Kanta Ahluwalia Cup for the Spirit of Welham, the Shiraz and Sanjoli Trophy for Excellence in Athletics, and the Ashna Gupta Trophies for Excellence in Dance. Mr. Vishal Rawat and Mr. Devender Singh Negi were also recognised with Long Service Awards for 25 years of dedicated service.
As dusk fell, the cultural festivities took centre stage with Anhad Naad, a mesmerising dance drama tracing the seeker’s journey through the seven chakras, symbolising the quest for harmony between the inner and outer worlds.
We are grateful to our students, teachers, parents, and alumnae who made these two days truly memorable.
