Students and IAYP representative of WGS attended the Annual Gold award Ceremony of the International Award for the Young People (IAYP) on 10th April in New Delhi. WGS received the award for “Exemplary contribution to the community through Voluntary service”. Additionally, WGS secured the third position all over India and first position in the North Zone for the total number of hours contributed to the community. Dr. Sonia Bawa, award leader, also received the “Special Meritorious Certificate” from National Award Authority in recognition of her exceptional dedication and support towards the programme. Of the 181 gold awardees across India, 18 are from Welham.
