The Ms Linnell Memorial Service, honouring the 53rd death anniversary of Ms Grace Mary Linnell, Founder Principal of Welham Girls' School, was observed on 8th May by the staff and students. The solemn service, conducted around Ms Linnell's grave, began with a speech by the Principal, Ms Vibha Kapoor. Mr Kapoor read out extracts from ‘A Teacher's Tale’ by Khatija Akbar, a book dedicated to Ms Linnell. She also read quotes by former Principals of Welham Girls' and The Doon School, speaking about Ms Linnell and the impact she had on her staff and students. Mrs Kapoor ended her speech by urging Welhamites to honour and continue her legacy and follow her footsteps to become women of integrity and compassion. In true secular spirit, students sang hymns, shlokas, and bhajan as well as a reading from the Holy Quran. Dear Linny, the school is forever indebted to you!
