Three students - Avika Mantri, SC; Vidya Jhamb, Pre-SC; and, Aarisha Jain, Pre-SC - participated in the Hugh Catchpole English Debate 2023, organized by Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun from 27th to 29th April, 2023. There were four rounds of debate on the following motions: Preliminary Round: “But for cricket, India would have done better in other sports”. Quarter Finals Round: “Hindi as a subject should be made compulsory in all schools of India”. Semi-Finals Round: “Defection by politicians in India should be seen positively”. Finals Round: “An ideal citizen of a nation is the embodiment of patriotism rather than altruism”. Vidya Jhamb was declared the Best Speaker in the Quarter Final round, Second Best Speaker in the Semi-Final Round and Best Speaker in the Final Round. Our school competed against sixteen schools and were declared the Second Runners-Up. Congratulations team!
