A delegation of nine students participated in the eighth Edition of QMUN Conclave hosted by Selaqui International School on 29th and 30th of July, 2023. The theme of this conference was ‘Aut viam inveniam aut faciam’ which translates to “I shall either find a way or make one”. Around 150 delegates from over 12 schools participated in the conference and addressed wide range of issues such as taking the Islamic insurgencies in Africa with special emphasis on extremist groups based in the middle east, question of peace between Ukraine and Russia, arms race and humanitarian crisis and addressing issues of religious tensions in India with emphasis on uniform civil code.
Anurati Sharma received the Best Delegate Award in the All India’s Political Party Meet, Tammana Baid received the award for the Outstanding Delegate in the Disarmament and International Security Committee, Prathana Geonka and Vaishanvi Agarwal received the award for the Outstanding Delegate in the United Nations Security Council, and Divyanshi Agarwal received an Honorary mention in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Overall, the MUN offered a launch pad for future thinkers, diplomats, leaders and change-makers, preparing them to resolve the most exigent global issues.
